About Ginny Carter

An award-winning UK book ghostwriter with a business background

I turn you from everyday expert to respected thought leader and in-demand speaker through having a book. I love, love, love writing and it frustrates the hell out of me when I talk to people who have great books trapped inside them, all for the want of the right help.

Communication has always been my thing – I worked in marketing for 21 years, including 3 years as a freelance social media manager. By posting and tweeting on behalf of my clients I learned how gifted I was at capturing their voices.  So I decided to up my game, put my natural writing ability to more substantial use, and help them get their books out there instead.

I’ve ghostwritten over a dozen books on a wide variety of topics, from HR to phobias. They all have this in common: they’re bringing their authors visibility, credibility, and bookability. Some of them have also been accepted by publishers such as Penguin Random House and Hachette.

60% of my clients have asked me to write their next book. That’s not bad going!

What’s more, I also get involved with my industry. My time as a judge at the Business Book Awards helped me to understand what publishers and readers are after. I’m regularly interviewed on podcasts and guest blogs to share my insights on book writing. And I’m a member of the Society of Authors and the Association of Ghostwriters.
